🚀 Getting started
How do I create my household?
On first launch, choose “Create a household”. Add members (you, your partner, your children, optionally the nanny or grandparents). Each person gets a first name, a color, and optionally a label like “Mom” or “Grandma”.
How do I add a calendar event?
Calendar tab → + button in the top right. Fill in the title, date, who's involved, the category. Enable reminders if needed. For recurring events (school, sport, daycare), use the “Repeat” option.
How do I enable Face ID lock?
Settings → Security → enable “Lock the app”. You can also choose how long after leaving the app Face ID is required again (instant, 30s, 1 min, etc.).
👨👩👧👦 Co-parenting
How do I share a child with another household?
On the child's profile → “🔗 Co-parent” → generate a 6-digit code. Pass this code to the other parent (text, WhatsApp, in person). They have 24h to use it from their app: “Link a child” → enter the code.
How do I set up shared custody?
Once a co-parent is linked, go back to the child's profile → “📅 Custody schedule”. Choose the pattern: alternating weeks, weekends, 5-2, shared school holidays… For “alternating_weekly”, you'll also specify who has the even weeks.
How do I remove a co-parent link?
On the child's profile → “👥 Co-parents” → button “Remove link with [name]”. Immediate and bilateral: sharing is cut on both sides.
🗂️ Data & security
Is my data backed up in the cloud?
Yes, your data is synced to our servers (encrypted in transit and at rest) so you can find it on a new device or so that other household members access shared info in real time.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete my account. Deletion is final and irreversible: all your data is erased within 30 days. If you're the sole admin of the household, the entire household will also be deleted.
How do I export my data?
Settings → Account → Export my data. You'll receive a JSON file containing all your contents, in compliance with your right to portability (GDPR).
🌍 Languages & accessibility
How do I change the language?
Settings → More → Language. Dalà is available in French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Arabic.
Is the app accessible to people with disabilities?
We put particular effort into accessibility: adjustable text size (5 levels), OpenDyslexic fonts, high-contrast mode, larger buttons, keyboard navigation on iPad, reduced animations. Settings → Accessibility for the full setup.
🐛 A bug?
